Historical atmosphere

The fortress town of Fredericia was established in 1650. The ramparts still stand, encircling the town centre as a beautiful park in which the bastions and canons tell the unique story of the town. To get an even closer look at the good old days, visit The Historic Mini-Town. Here you will find a true copy of Fredericia in 1849, made in one-tenth of full size. Enjoy the houses, churches, tobacco barns, and farm buildings as they looked more than 150 years ago.

Fredericia is surrounded by green forests that provide many opportunities for wonderful trips in the countryside. In the "Troldeskov" forest at Trelde Næs you can enjoy the unspoiled nature. The clear water of the Little Belt is a true paradise for anglers, swimmers, sailors and all kind of watersport activities.
